About MBAS-GO

A web-based community hall booking system developed to modernise the hall reservation process for Majlis Bandaraya Alor Setar.

Project Background

From manual booking processes to a centralised digital workflow.

The existing community hall booking process still relies heavily on phone calls, walk-in applications, and paper-based forms. This method causes delays in the booking process, increases the risk of lost records, and makes it difficult for residents to know whether their selected date is still available.

MBAS-GO solves these issues by integrating hall information, real-time availability schedules, online booking, payment verification, notifications, user reviews, and administrative reports into one integrated web platform.

Project Objectives

01

Develop a web-based booking system

Allows residents to make online reservations while administrators manage booking applications through a centralised dashboard.

02

Provide real-time hall availability

The system calendar displays existing bookings to reduce the risk of overlapping dates and scheduling conflicts.

03

Improve booking and payment management

Users can check their booking status while administrators can verify payment records and generate reports more efficiently.

System Workflow

How MBAS-GO Works

1

Check & Submit Application

Users can view hall information and availability calendars before submitting a booking request by selecting the date, time, event details, and required additional facilities.

2

Administrator Review

The administrator reviews booking applications and either approves them for payment processing or rejects the request with a relevant reason.

3

Payment & Confirmation

Users can make payments through QR payment or choose an in-person payment method. After payment verification, the booking status will be updated to confirmed.
